Boxenstopp, a collective exhibtion created with fellow artists on exchange at the Beaux Arts de Paris and students from the local Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. During the 11 days of the exhibition we squatted and curated a former Alfa Romeo car dealership.
The curration assembly of a kitchen, a sleeping area and a living room as art and for daily use. The homemaking spanned for 11 days, after which everyone journeyed elsewhere in the world. Boxenstopp (english: [pit stop]) is a service station for refuelling during a race or a brief rest during a journey. Our venture from Paris to Düsseldorf to everywhere else is a stop to refuel, learn, exchange, cohabitate and create before returning home.

The drawings were made on the back of public advertisments collected on my daily commute stop at Denfert Rochercheau in Paris 14. The blue polycoated masking paper collected is typical to public advertisments in France. It was usually be poorly applied and easily peeled at this stop. The repurposing, spontanious collection of material, and site specificity was in coversation with the arret au stand theme of the exhibit.
